Published the 12th edition of the Exemption Drawback Manual. The new edition of the manual expands the scope of the scheme for the pharmaceutical sector
Through Export News No. 79/2019, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Department informs that the Ordinance SECEX No. 51/2019 was published in the Federal Official Gazette on 12/24/2019, which approved the 12th edition of Drawback Exemption Manual, available on the Portal Siscomex website at www.siscomex.gov.br.
The new edition of the Manual expands the scope of the regime for the pharmaceutical sector that until then was not allowed to use the instrument in exemption mode. Source: Siscomex | access on Dec 31st.
The Drawback Regime, created by Decree-Law 37/66, is the tax exemption on the importation of goods in quantity and quality equal to that used in the production process of exported product. The tax exemption on domestic purchases is regulated by Law # 12.350/2010.
