Government Relations
Starting from the capacities developed in the legal assistance and support to class entities we developed our solutions aimed at the interlocution between the private initiative and the Brazilian State.
The theoretical basis of our work is the theory of Lhuman systems according to which the Political, Legal and Economic systems have different functions, language and speeds. The legal system enables and legitimizes the use of power for the political system, in addition to creating institutions used by the economic system as defined by the political system with content, rites and form provided by the legal system.
Our job is to build bridges between these three systems by acting as interpreters and translators among them for the benefit of our clients.
A full Corporate Governance Relations service should address the entire cycle of activities required to generate concrete results that distance or mitigate risk, leverage Customer’s efforts, Identify and Enable opportunities arising from the formulation of legislation, regulation and public policy . All activities below must be covered by the Corporate Governance Service in two areas that provide feedback on Monitoring and Mobilization.
Monitoring is done using competitive intelligence concepts to leverage or protect the customer’s business.
To ensure that the work is really useful to the client the first stage of the work is the understanding of the client’s business, where the client collaborates with the office, educating our team about what the company does and what is essential for its success present and for the execution of their strategies.
With the understanding of the client’s business our team makes a survey of all the rules that form the normative environment in which the client is inserted are laws, decrees, regulations, resolutions, public policies, among others; it maps out which bodies emit them and within those bodies which are the competence of the respective decision makers.
Once this is done, we are going to establish which norms in creation can change this environment by generating threats or opportunities for customers, what stage of creation, we seek to give the client tools to anticipate and if we want to interact with the changes. :
Identification of the topic (s) of interest and related critical issues;
Definition of the areas of government and details of the subjects for follow-up, collection of data and information to the client;
Monitoring of legislative issues (public consultations, public hearings, bills, proposed constitutional amendments, provisional measures and presidential vetoes);
Information of the acts published in the official press of the respective powers and organs monitored;
Identification and profile of decision makers, policy makers, opinion makers and stakeholders;
With this information we are ready to begin the work developed with the client’s team in which this monitoring will be continuously done with the identification of threats or opportunities and created mobilization plans to address or mitigate the relevant threats or identify, secure and leverage the relevant opportunities .
INFORMATIVES: The information sent to customers regularly involves (i) informative acts of the Federal Executive Branch (daily); (ii) media analysis with the main facts reported in the newspapers, besides news of interest of the client (daily); (iii) Federal Legislative Agenda (weekly, always on Mondays); (iv) results of the Federal Legislative Agenda (daily); (v) daily report of the activity of the Legislative and Executive Powers at State and Municipal levels.
Identified some relevant in which the client wishes to contribute is created a mobilization plan interacting with the department of government relations and stakeholders of other departments of the client company.
The implementation of the mobilization plan is carried out according to the client’s schedule, according to the demands of the project, with constant revisions due to the dynamic context of the project influenced by the activities of this proposal, the progress of the propositions targeted at government relations activities as well as feedback received on “melee” activities, company strategy and learning on the subject at the technical, economic, social, legal and political levels, among others.
